NOTHING BUT EYES- A Poem by António José Cravo

Nothing but Eyes

António José Cravo

Poet & Photographer, Portugal

don't know what legs are

words neither

nothing but eyes

sea in front

my father on the boat

the boat on the sea

my mother networking

net has arrived

everybody choosing fish

i can see all this

lost on everything i don't understand

tomorrow

i'll be there not knowing it today

i start to learn

that being a child here

is nothing but foam

sea leaves on sand

and will vanish with sun and salt

this is my kindergarden
